Nisargadatta

From I Am That:
Love says 'I am everything'. Wisdom says 'I am nothing'.
Between the two, my life flows.

From the Prajnaparamita-Hridayam (Heart of Perfect Wisdom Sutra):

Form is precisely emptiness (Śūnyatā). Emptiness is precisely form.

About two years ago (after nearly 20 years of formal Zen practice) I chanced upon Sri Nisargadatta's book I Am That and was astounded to find such a clear explication of the truth (or at least the truth as I have come to understand it from my limited perspective). What was all the more amazing to me was that Sri Nisargadatta (or 'Niz' as he is affectionately known in the Advaita blogosphere and podcasts) was (almost) my contemporary.
I first read I AM That cover-to-cover over a few days and then began re-reading it between rounds early-morning zazen (sitting meditation).
I enthusiastically recommend I AM That to all who are ready for an unadulterated description of 'the way things are'.  Sri Nisargadatta is the real-deal and I AM That the clearest explication of the Truth I have encountered.

'Nuff said.
